Enjoy it's your birthday card *Inspired By Stamping*

Hello there friends. Today I'm sharing a card that I created with some stamps from Inspired By Stamping. I wanted to "play" with watercolor so I used the flower from the Aster stamp set as my base. I inked it with some dark brown color onto some watercolor paper and then used my Reeves water color pencil set to bring it to life. I then brushed some water on it to create the watercolor effect. As you can see, I'm still a beginner with this technique but I love the result and how the colors just blend together well.

I cut the image off of the watercolor paper and then transferred it onto my card base. Because I want the attention to go straight to the flowers, I made the whole design simple. I added a heat embossed sentiment, tiny ribbon to create my border around the card and then some rhinestones to finish it off.

So what new technique have you tried recently?

Make sure you check out the IBS store for the latest stamp release.

Till next time,
Grace

Warmest Birthday Wishes card
I'm still using the Neopolitan line from Dear Lizzy. I hoarded them for a long time and now it's time to actually put them to use. I used a sentiment from the "A Lovely Birthday" stamp set.

Instead of using a pearl or enamel dot, I used paint in the center of my flowers. It well coordinated with the flowers and I was able to use one of my small bottles of paint.

Thank you for stopping by today and for hopping with all of us from Inspired By Stamping!  Your next stop is Irit's blog.

Till next time,
Grace

Our Story layout with video

Hi there friends. Today I'd like to share a layout I created this month. Before I go on, let me just tell you that my head has been spinning with ideas unfortunately, time in not in my favor. With the little one not sleeping through the night plus having to take care of the rest of the family, it's harder to find time to create. Hence the reason why posts here on my blog and few and far in between. But we all know that babies are not going to be this small forever so I'm consciously choosing to let go of some things in order for me to totally embrace little Mason at this age.

So now that that's out of the way, I do have to give a shout out to all the scrap bloggers out there that produces so many ideas and inspiration that I can use to springboard my own creations. This month I had put together my own "kit" from my stash using the color scheme from Use Your Stash plus the sketch from Sketches in Thyme

and here's the result...

and if you are interested, here's the process video for the layout....

Here's some more details...

Thank you for stopping by and I would love to hear what you would like to see more of in this blog. I love sharing my projects but kinda curious what drives you back here again and again.

Today mini book *Ribbons Unlimited Inc.

Hello there friends. Today I’m sharing a mini book project that I created using some 4x6 pocket scrapbook papers. Pocket pages and scrapbook supplies are a rage right now. While I don’t do project life, I still like to get the products cause they’re so cool. Recently, I got a pack of 4x6 papers designed for pocket scrapbooking. I used it as a base for my mini album. I then put it all together with a coil binding.  Because the papers were already cut into one size, I was able to put this book together in record time.

To spruce up the front of the book, I tied some colorful ribbons from Ribbons Unlimited Inc.

Here are a few pictures of the inside pages of the book…

I hope this inspired you to use those pocket scrapbooking products in your next mini album project.

Happy Creating,
Grace

Autumn Wishes treat bags *Inspired by Stamping*

Hi crafty friends. Today I'm sharing an altered project that I created using some new stamps from Inspired By Stamping. Fall is one of those seasons where we bake up a storm and then spread the love to family and friends. Well, what better way to hand those homemade treats than with a homemade bag as well?

I created the bag using some papers that had the Fall color scheme with it and then added a border using the Free stamp of September which is the Diamonds. I also added a label from the Autumn blessings stamp set

Now they're ready to be filled with some fun treats.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you check out the latest stamp sets from Inspired by Stamping by heading over here.

I'm grateful for you layout *Inspired By Stamping*

One of my favorite things about the Fall season is the reminder to have a more grateful heart. The new stamp Autumn Blessings helped me get a page documented about one of my favorite people in the world, my husband. He really is my better half and I am grateful for everything that he does for me and my family.

One of my favorite ways to incorporate stamping in my scrapbook pages is to use them in lieu of pattern paper. In this page, I used the images in the stamp set to create three blocks of pattern paper (pumpkin, leaves, red bricks) and then used the stamp "grateful" to layer over a Polaroid image cut up from a pattern paper. I also used the stamp set for my title, heat embossing it with black onto white cardstock, cutting around it and then adhering  it onto my picture with some foam adhesive.

Magazine inspired card *Ribbons Unlimited Inc.

Hi there ribbon friends. I am a big magazine reader. I love grabbing information, recipes, ideas and of course inspiration from the pages of lifestyle magazines. While browsing through an issue of HGTV magazine, I was stopped in my tracks with the photo of a cool door. As I studied the door, I noticed that the diamond design can easily be replicated with ribbons. Read on to see how I incorporated the design onto a thank you card.

Instructions:

1. For my square card, I cut out a 4 ½” square piece of white paper. I added some dazzle ribbon strips diagonally onto the paper.

2. Next, I cut the square into four smaller pieces.

3. Then I turned each square till I got a design that I was happy with.

4. Then I adhered the blocks onto the center of a 5” square card. I then added a tiny strip of dark purple cardstock, a tied ribbon from more dazzle ribbon and two die cut tabs where I handwrote my sentiment.

Here’s the finished card…

I used very minimal decoration on this card so that the eye can focus on the cool design created by the ribbon.
I hope this inspires you to use some ribbon to create some cool geometric shapes for your next paper crafting project.

Happy Creating,
Grace

Just For You card *Inspired By Stamping*

justforyourcard
Hello there Inspired By Stamping friends, Grace here to share with you a card that I created using the new release Teeny Tiny Greetings...
I love all the greetings and how they are all done in different fonts. I used a few of them to create a list of sentiments. To highlight the card sentiment, I stamped the border with brown ink and then heat embossed the sentiment using some green embossing powder. To add some more texture, I added some paper flowers to the leaf design of the paper on the bottom right.

I hope this inspires you to create something fun today with the Teeny Tiny Greetings stamp set.

Happy creating,
